The Asean Tourism Forum (ATF) is the most significant annual promotional event of tourism in Asia, hosted on a rotational basis among the Asean member countries.

Thailand was honoured to be the host for ATF 2008, which includes The Travel Exchange (Travex) and Asean Tourism Conference (ATC).

ATF 2008's theme is Synergy of Asean Towards Dynamic Unity in Diversity, which truly reflects the unique range of tourism products and services offered by the region.

ATC 2008, meanwhile, is an academic part of the ATF. It has been initiated to disseminate current information regarding developments of the tourism industry that have an impact on Asean's growth.

ATC 2008's theme is Dynamic of Asean Tourism.

Its opening ceremony yesterday was attended by the Asean Tourism Minister, and representing Brunei was Pehin Dato Seri Dr Hj Ahmad Hj Jumat, the Minister of Industry and Primary Resources.
