Last week I attended a convention in Chicago. This was the first time I had ever visited Chicago. Not having visited a big city before, I did not know what to expect from the people of Chicago. As I made my way around the city I was pleasantly surprised by the civility and pleasantness I experienced from everyone I encountered.
From the gentleman on Wells St. who helped me find my destination by walking with me, to the bus driver who showed incredible patience while I fumbled for my CTA visitor pass even though I tried to put it in the card reader the wrong way once I found it, there were many others who were helpful as well and I was thoroughly impressed by everyone I encountered.
My visit to Chicago was a completely enjoyable experience and I hope to be able to visit again soon.
