NEW information panels will help to guide tourists around Burnham's streets, after being officially unveiled to the public this week.
Cllr Peter Clayton and Jo Burridge, the mayor and mayoress of Burnham and Highbridge, launched the three "You are here" boards on Monday, which will help tourists find points of interest across the town during the busy summer season.
The panels have been specially designed by artist Judith Champion - who was also present at the unveiling - featuring a street map of Burnham, as well as showcasing all the town's landmarks.
Boards have gone up on the seafront, Pier Street and Oxford Street car park, as part of a project funded by the Burnham and Highbridge Regeneration Partnership.
At a short ceremony on Monday, dignitaries from across the town gathered in Oxford Street car park, including the mayor and mayoress and Cllr Rosemary Parsons, chairman of the regeneration group, to launch the new panel scheme.
Cllr Peter Clayton told the Weekly News: "I am delighted that this project has now come to fruition in time for our main holiday season.

"The art work from Judith Champion is very impressive and I must congratulate the regeneration committee for all the work they have done in getting these information boards in place.
"I am sure they will be of great benefit to the tourists visiting the area."
